AGS wins Pennsylvania licenses to provide slot games and table products
Designer and supplier of electronic gaming devices and table products, AGS, has been awarded Pennsylvania licenses to manufacture slot machines and table games.
AGS will now be able to place products in the state’s 12 casinos after the decision came from Pennsylvania’s Gaming Control Board (PGCB), which the supplier expects to happen in early 2019.
AGS President and Chief Executive Officer, David Lopez, said: “The two Pennsylvania licenses represent a huge milestone for AGS, as we continue to expand our presence into new markets for our company. This is huge news for AGS and we can’t wait to start talking to Pennsylvania’s gaming operators about how we can deliver a great player experience and operating efficiencies with our innovative slot and table solutions.”
Pennsylvania’s casino industry currently consists of 10 standalone and racetrack casinos, along with two resort casinos, generating approximately $1.4 billion in tax revenue from slot machine and table games play.
These newly awarded licenses follow on from last week’s announcement that the PGCB has approved the state’s first two sports betting licenses.
Park Casino in Bensalem and Hollywood Casino in Dauphin County were the first two casinos to be awarded sports betting licenses by the state's regulator.
