USBookmaking signs sports betting agreement with New Mexico casino

USBookmaking has agreed to provide sports betting risk services at Santa Ana Star Casino & Hotel in New Mexico.

The Las Vegas-based company has announced the casino sportsbook will launch on 16 October.

However, sports betting has not been legalised within the state of New Mexico; any sports betting operations would therefore be based on the position that it is permissible under the tribal casino’s current compact with the state.

A USBookmaking spokesman told Sports Handle the issue has been thoroughly researched, while a media spokesman for the New Mexico Attorney General’s office told the same outlet they were unaware of the plans and would be issuing a statement regarding the legality of the proposal.

Vic Salerno, President of USBookmaking, said: “We have found that there is tremendous demand for a Nevada-style retail sports book operation in a multitude of casinos throughout the US. We specialize in the ability to get to market quickly and operate efficiently.

“We have carved out a unique position where we are a very attractive service provider to the many independent casino operations that exist today.”
